Jump into spring in style!

Every week I am going to pick out an outfit of the week from what's appeared in Yarns: The Shop so you can see if you, or someone you know, can provide it with the second life that it is craving.

I created Yarns in part to help promote the idea of sustainable fashion. It is absolutely not essential to go out and buy brand-new, expensive clothes all of the time to look and feel a million dollars. And it’s especially not great for the environment when we use virgin resources to produce new clothes to replace those that may get (wait for it) thrown into landfill. There is an incredible amount of textile waste thrown into landfill all of the time, and it’s not necessary.

I am definitely one of those people that has an excessive wardrobe, but I am proud to say that at least 90% of that is thrifted or given to me by my mum and sister (thank goodness we’re all similar sizes!).

Check out this week’s outfit of the week (below) that you could add to your wardrobe on the cheap while saving the planet at the same time.

This super cute summer dress is so lightweight and versatile. It’s a size 10. It’s had a life in an excessively large wardrobe where it was only worn a handful of times, so is in excellent condition! And you can snaffle it up for a mere $15 plus shipping! Super cheap, super cute, and you’ll be doing the environment a favour all at the same time! Check it out below — and check back next week for the next instalment of Outfit of the Week!
